Ganesh Muhurt Poojan :
Before starting the work of making the Lalbaugcha Raja MOORTI (IDOL), a 'MUHURT POOJAN' is performed. Initially, the foot of the MOORTI is prepared and “PADYA POOJAN” of the foot is performed. Generally, this POOJAN is performed about 2 to 3 months before the Ganesh Festival. Traditionally, all the religious and other activities of the Mandal commence after the MUHURT POOJAN.
This year, which is 'Platinum Jubilee Year', the Ganesh MUHURT POOJAN was performed on 17th June 2008, by the President of the Mandal, Shri Sunil Dattaram Joshi. This was attended by all the Members of the Mandal & Many devotees of the Lalbaugcha Raja. |
