Ganesh Utsav
“LALBAUGCHA RAJA (The Emperor of Lalbaug)” is name of the popular Ganesh Idol of “LALBAUGCHA RAJA SARVAJANIK GANESHOTSAV MANDAL”. The preparations for Ganeshotsav 2007 have been already started since June 2007. In order to offer proper DARSHAN of the Lalbaugcha Raja to its devotees, proper arrangements are made by the Mandal. Mandal takes necessary precautions so that no inconvenience is caused to the devotees. 
 
 
 


Govinda-Dahikala
Birth of the famous Lord Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami, by Hindus. Dahi Handi is a popular ceremony, celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and glee. Dahi Handi is an enactment of Lord Krishna's efforts to steal butter from Matka (earthen pot) suspended from the ceiling..
 
 
 


Navratra Utsav
The festival of Navratri (nav = nine and ratri = nights) lasts for 9 days with three days each devoted to worship of Maa Durga, the Goddess of Valor, Maa Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth and Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. During the nine days of Navratri, feasting and fasting take precedence over all normal daily activities amongst the Hindus. Evenings give rise to the religious dances in order to worhip Goddess Durga Maa.
 

 
 


Palakhi (Palenquin) Procession / Kirtan Saptah (Preaching Week)

A Palakhi Procession of Lord Hanuman is carried out by Mandal on 1st May of every year. The procession starts at Hanuman temple, takes a route which includes Sane Guruji Marg, Dattaram Lad Marg , Dr. Ambedkar Marg, Saibaba Path, Dr. S. S. Rao Marg, and ends at Hanuman temple.
